When we decided to become filmmakers we knew it was going to be a difficult task; but to the folks that know us, you know Team Hull has never backed away from a challenge. We've been adventurers since 1987, and we knew that researching this story meant we were going to be in for a tremendous ride, but neither one of us realized what an awesome journey it would be!
In August of 2017, we decided to become filmmakers and elected to start our film careers off by making a Documentary. With so many amazing topics to choose from, we ultimately chose to focus our efforts on telling the story of the USS Arizona Band. Why this story? To be perfectly honest, we still don’t know. Sounds silly, doesn’t it? But if you have ever had a “calling” in your life, you’ll understand that sometimes we initially don’t understand what draws us to something, or someone, or a particular story. Sharing the story of the USS Arizona Band is our calling, and we look forward to bringing to life the story of these 21 amazing souls.
After we entered production and began interviewing people associated with the USS Arizona and her story and history, we realized how blessed we truly were, and that the path we were on had been paved by a higher power. From our first trip to Hawaii, the Aloha Spirit captured our hearts and has provided “smooth sailing” during the entire project. We have been blessed to have met so many wonderful people on a journey to tell the story of the boys in the band.
We have shared our adventure with a few of our social media accounts and are hopeful that many of you have followed us for the last several months. It has been an amazing experience. So many of you have supported us, and for this, we are grateful.
